Johan Torell - Art Director i Skåne

Johan Torell is a Swedish 3D Artist & Motion designer based in Skåne, Sweden.

He started his career as a freelance graphic designer by helping both agencies and coorporations producing visually pleasing branding content sometimes a new identity and other times marketing materials or webdesign. After two years he decided to work for a small advertising agency in Åhus, Sweden, he soon became an Art Director with a wide range of clients, some of them being big pharma such as Ferring, Abbvie and Nordic Drugs but there was also smaller companies in between. During this period he created lots of identities and designed more than enough websites in order to take on new challenges. A few years later he started being intrested in moving images such as animation and video, he noticed those productions were growing amongst the clients and also the market wanted it. He started digging into the world of moving images and started experimenting with softwares such as after effects, premiere pro and davinci resolve and at the same time a big interest for 3D had grown along side were he laborated with c4d and blender3d as tools. 3 years later he had moved away from the Art Director title in some sense and was more passionate about the production of content within 3D, animation and video. Today he is mostly working within the field of 3D and moving images to create content for coorporations social media or websites and that he enjoys quite a lot. He is a bit of a wizard when it comes to compositing, taking marketing materials and bringing them togheter in one piece to create a for example video or animation. The things that get's him most excited is being part of the journey on visualising brands and products, both still renders and animations to show products or brands in a interesting way.
